PLANT BASED BLACK FOREST HAM

  • • 1 multigrain bread roll
  • • 1 package of Gourmet Evolution Plant Based Black Forest Ham
  • • 1 cup of lettuce or your favorite greens
  • • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • • 1 tablespoons of butter
  • • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • • 1 inch onion peeled and cut into 1/4- slices
  • • 1/4 cup of red wine - optional

  • 1. Heat the oil and butter in a medium nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add the sugar and mix with a wooden spoon until dissolved. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, or until the onions are lightly browned and soft. Pour in the red wine, pop the lid on, reduce the heat to low and cook for around 15 minutes, or until beautifully golden and caramelized.
  • 2. Sprinkle the bread with vegan cheese and warm up in the oven.
  • 3. Top the bottoms with Plant Based Black Forest Ham, caramelized onions, greens and the top of the sandwich.
  • 4. Serve and enjoy!
